About Me
Hey there, I'm Bobby! Nice to meet you!
I am a technical designer in game development, which to me means living in the two worlds between how a game feels and how it's actually built. This position allows me to combine my passions for both game design and development into one; designing and/or taking designs from paper, and prototyping and/or laying the structural groundwork for them in the digital space.
I recently wrapped my Master's degree in Visualization at Texas A&M University, where I simultaneously led the design team at the TAMU LIVE Lab (focusing on military and first responder simulations), and served as Chillennium 2026's president, the world's largest student-run collegiate game jam! I've shipped a good stack of internal projects, led teams, and met so many creatives in the industry space around North America!
On the side, I run my own indie studio called Crown Black, with two games in development, and a community growing behind it. Here, I have the opportunity to push technical design further, while leading our development teams to push our games across the finish line to publication!
I love tackling hardcore projects and working close with teams. If you're working on something ambitious and want someone who cares about both the design and the technical system under-the-hood, I'd love to get in touch! There's a form to the right, so let's get started!
